Clockers (Spike Lee - 1995)

Clockers Spike Lee, 1995

I've always found it very interesting films away from Lee African Americans in the ghetto that used to give the gunshots. "Clockers" is a film which is hovering between two languages, there are intentions to decimate blacks, but everything else on which the film seems to send a "25 ª now "in power. A masterpiece not, in fact, full of good things and find interesting, but the result is still bitter and cold, very distant from the results achieved with the epoch-making masterpiece of 2002. semen, but not essential.

Necronomicon (Christophe Gans, Brian Yuzna and Shusuke Kaneko - 1993)

Necronomicon by Christophe Gans, Brian Yuzna and Shusuke Kaneko, 1993

Valuable horror episodes from the delicious flavor of the '80s. The success of the episodes is more and more complete: the first is not convincing at all, the second is perhaps more interesting with the plot and the third is a small gem of gender. The history of the base, with intent to steal the Necronomicon Lovecraft to a sect of monks, is an easy excuse to take the three episodes stuck, but no one complains.

Red Redemption Dead (John Hillcoat - 2010)

Red Dead Redemption John Hillcoat, the 2010

It is certainly not in short that acts as a prequel to a game that I was hoping to find signs of a revival after a disappointing Hillcoat "The Road". And in fact the twenty-four minutes of "Dead Red Redemption" slip away without major surprises or emotions: some nice sequence, burying the due to gaming graphics. Futile and avoidable.

... and you shall live in fear! The Beyond (Lucio Fulci - 1981)

... and you live in fear! Beyond The Lucio Fulci, 1981

One of the best films of the maestro Fulci. A lot of ingenuity and a script held together with spit, but every second of film exudes a passion to make genre films that today it is difficult to find. The sequences of the anthology does not count (the incipit, Michele Mirabella eaten by tarantulas and all the final part of the best things in context zombesco), tricks and gore are great soundtrack Frizzi is already history. A cult to discover and not to forget.

Shadow - Shadow (Federico Zampaglione - 2009)

Shadow - Shadow Federico Zampaglione of 2009

The Italian horror is dead? Maybe, but some signs of life at times comes, and Zamoaglione (frontman Tiromancino, his second experience behind the camera) is trying with his "Shadow - The Shadow." It's all already seen and the final twist really hard to hit, but the technical expertise and some skill in recreating environments are absolutely horrific laudable. Added to this is a nice soundtrack (admittedly Goblin-style) and hit the scenes. We are far from the rebirth of the genre, as some have said, but Zampaglione has potential, we hope you can improve.

Valhalla Rising (Nicolas Winding Refn - 2009) Ricky

Valhalla Rising Nicolas Winding Refn, in 2009

"In The Beginning There Was only man and nature. Men chamber bearing crosses and drove the heathen. To the fringes of the Earth. " With these words began the monumental "Valhalla Rising" by Refn. The man was born from nature, intended to (with) live with it. The Catholic God, the Creator gave to his followers the Earth, allowing them to do whatever they want. But man, distant and hostile to its Green Mother, has been lost and lives overwhelmed dall'irrefrenabile power of nature. One-Eye, like a new Jesus Christ, guide humanity towards a new relationship primordial self-sacrifice for it. In a nutshell, eh. A stunning film, cryptic and visionary (often reminiscent of the paradigm "The Holy Mountain" by Jodorowky) technically impeccable. Mads Mikkelsen monolithic.

Ricky - A story of love and freedom by François Ozon, 2009,

Beautiful, beautiful film Ozon underestimated. Passed virtually unnoticed, this pearl dil film can range from many genres without ever losing. Ozon takes a great script and a director really dry impeccable. Not to be missed, without knowing anything about plot developments and, if possible.

Carnivores came from the bush (Jeff Lieberman - 1976)

Carnivores come from the bush Jeff Lieberman, the 1976

Nice b-movie cult. A good idea at the base, missed some sequence (among many others: Dow devoured by Vermon, immortal was not even Freddy Krueger, who returns every ten minutes more and more zombified to defend his ardent love ... priceless), and several moments of tired. A vision deserves it too, but knowing what to expect.

Saaalve, lettori. Ci siete ancora?
I hope to enjoy the novelty, but lately I've had (and I, alas) no time / desire to put heated to write stuff, so ... satisfied and have fun, if you can.
Soon I'll know to say if this is to your liking. Otherwise I will feel offended me. Seriously.
Stay tuna, sparrows dad!
